Curation is the act of discovering, gathering, and presenting the best possible content that surrounds a specific subject matter and posting it.
Today’s common approach to curation is driven by individuals who pick out the information they find important, fun, and interesting to share with their friends. The problem with this approach is we naturally tend to associate with like-minded friends, so we’re not exposed to a diverse set of information. The outcome is we get stuck in what is called « Filter Bubbles. » A new approach that we call « collective curation » represents a more effective and more efficient way to get the information we need.
